From this week we will introduce you to a regular blog called Jewellery Kit of the Week. Excited? We are too!
The first jewellery item is our Glitter Ball Bracelets made by the lovely Fran. The bracelet features glass pearlescent glitter beads, drop flower charms and diamante rhondells. The glitter bracelet is perfect for the party season and is easy to make for you or for a gift.
We have flattened a tube crimp to the wire guardian at one end of the tiger tail and added diamante rhondells, glitter beads and drop flower charms on roughly six inches of wire guardian.
Then add another tube link and pull the wire through the wire guardian including the diamante beads. Pull until all the beads meet up and there are no gaps. Flatten the crimp and cut off excess wire. Link the heart toggle to the bracelet using the jump rings, then open the jump rings and link through the wire guardian and close.
You are then left with a beautiful bracelet!
You can just flatten the crimp with chain nose pliers or you can use crimping pliers. These work best on tube crimps but crimping pliers are not essential.
When you pull the wire through the beads at the end, make sure you don’t pull too tight as the bracelet may become taught. Keep the bracelet in shape as you pull the wire.
If you want to make the bracelet slightly bigger, fear not as you should have a few spare beads left over.
